Painters of all skill levels are invited to join us for an evening of painting with acrylics on Thursday, November 6 at 6:30 PM at the Lower Level of Dighton Town Hall. Dighton resident Jeff Philbrook will share his knowledge of image composition, color mixing and paint application with participants. Mr. Philbrook has taught acrylics at Dighton’s Prime Time, the supportive day program for elder adults. Acrylic paints are quick drying and water soluble, which allow the artist to paint at their own pace and comfort level. At the end of the evening, participants will leave with an acrylic painting of their own creation.
Painting supplies will be provided by the library, including card stock to prepare for homemade Christmas cards. Participants are asked to bring in a favorite image that may provide inspiration to paint from. We also ask that you dress in old clothes or wear an apron or smock for this activity. This program is free but registration is required.
