The Traveling Book Group is meeting to discuss Cape Cod by Henry David Thoreau on Thursday, July 6 at 7:00. The Dighton Public Library is participating in a Thoreau Bicentennial Statewide Read that will bring the entire state of Massachusetts together in celebrating one of our most prolific figures.
From Novelist: “Presents essays from the author’s three trips to Cape Cod, detailing a journey of discovering and understanding the complex relationship between the sea and the shore. Dighton participants are reading the essay, “The Shipwreck,” but are not limited in reading the other essays.
Copies of the book are available at the library, and all are welcome to join the discussion. This book group meets on the first Thursday of every month at 7:00.
