When the Moon Danced with the Sun

The Dighton Public Library invites all to “When the Moon Dances with the Sun: Tales for an Eclipse,” with master storyteller and musician Odds Bodkin on Thursday, August 10 at 3:00 at the Dighton Pavilion, next to Dighton Town Hall, 979 Somerset Avenue, Dighton.
Odds will create an afternoon of cosmic tales to celebrate the upcoming eclipse on Monday, August 21. He will share stories of the moon’s 27 star wives and moon fairies showing up during an eclipse, among other myths and legends. Odds tells these and other stories with character voices, natural vocal effects and live music played on Celtic harp, 12-string guitars and other instruments. Registration is not required for this family friendly program.
The Dighton Public Library also has solar eclipse glasses available to participants of this storytelling program, for free, and available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
